Janie Danger is a rock musician from Atlanta, Georgia.

Janie likes to, perhaps somewhat cheekily, describe her sound as “Hypnagogic Powerviolence” as she pulls from many disparate sounds and styles resting under the umbrella of punk rock. She’s been writing and recording most of her life but has committed to the Janie Danger moniker since 2020, and forming a band to play live shows with her the following year.

Whether her and her band (The Wifesuckers as she endearingly calls them) are offering blistering grindcore or tender rock balladry her live shows are always confrontational, deeply personal, and often filled with subversive improvisational banter. There is always a concerted effort to truly put everything in her body into each performance. Her stage show is like a guided tour through her artistic offerings. A quiet intro will weave its way through dance-able indie rock tunes leading the audience to the inevitable end of rock and roll itself. De-tuned guitars, shrill screams and blast beats all reaching an apex by the end of her set, often times finalizing with a respite song like the outro-spective “Working Class Faggot” or the nostalgically tinged “Whiskey Mule” to close things out and round it all out .

Janie Danger is a bartender from Atlanta, Georgia, and has devoted her life to centering the struggles of everyone just wants to make something beautiful but might not always have the time. She makes music for all the little freaks and weirdos out there sticking their fingers too close to the electrical socket. She’s just a normal girl, she likes movies and birds and wants to save rock and roll.

She is currently completely unsigned, independent and has released two full length albums, 2022’s Sensitive Skin and 2024’s East Atlanta Sober, while currently working towards releasing her third full length album Crisis Acting; in the End Times. She has shared two singles, “(Kill) Your Self-Help Book” and “Kissing Booth”, as teasers from the upcoming project.

In October 2025 she toured in support of John Maus for the Later Than You Think Tour. She was awarded a nomination for Best Musical Artist at the Wussy Magazine Peachy Awards in 2023. She has also received endorsements from local magazine such as Mainline ATL and broader ones from the likes of Anthony Fantano.
